		<description>This is great Randal Thanks for pointing these scripts out. Every script I&#039;ve seen that reports on index fragmentation relies on the DMV dm_db_index_physical_stats. This view can be pretty resource intensive for large tables (even with sampling). It would be cool if there was an alternative.

Any way, this would have made a great addition to T-SQL Tuesday&#039;s set of posts. This month, the topic will be on indexes.
