SQL Server 2008 R2 is available for download now, contrary to the “leaked” date of May 21. I ran across this information on Brent Ozar’s Blog. Here is the launch site http://www.sqlserverlaunch.com/. Time to get my new virtual servers fired up and give it a go to see how this differs from the CTP.  Still getting prepared for the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) training in May (May 3 -22) in Redmond, WA. Should be a great learning experience and can’t wait. I am flying in on Saturday (May 1) to get familiar with everything and do some last minute studying before class begins. The MCM is one of the top tier certifications and after the last rotation, which Brent Ozar attended, there are only a handful of people in the world that have the certfication and are not employed by Microsoft. |
